Amitabh Bachchan is the son of noted poet Harivansh Rai
Bachchan and Tejashwi Bachchan. He has a brother named Ajitabh. He completed
his education from Uttar Pradesh and moved to Bombay to work as a film star,
however, the filmmakers did not like his personality very much but he liked the
huge voice of Amitabh Bachchan, which was used by narration and Background
comment was made.

His first breakthrough came in the casting of Saat
Hindustani. He got a break in Bollywood after the introduction letter of the
then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, as he was a friend of his son Rajiv
Gandhi. He then acted in the film Janazir again with Jaya Bhaduri. People liked
this film very much. This was the first film of his success.
He married Jaya Bhaduri, an accomplished actress and had two
children, Shweta and Abhishek. Shweta is married, lives a non-film life and has
two children.

Being a friend of Rajiv Gandhi, he got a chance to contest

controversies, especially after Rajiv and he was implicated in the infamous
"Bofors" case with the Hinduja of Britain .

After a break of four years, he returned from the film Angel
of Death (1997), but the film was a failure. Which the actor wanted to forget.
But he later saved his career with the films Big Mr. and Little Mr. (1998). But
in 1999 he was seen in All Time Low due to four flops and a debt of over Rs 90
crore from his sinking company ABCL. To make matters worse, after the defeat of
the Congress party, Amitabh lost considerable political support, the opposition
targeted him and his credit rating deteriorated to such an extent that a
leading nationalized bank, Canara Bank, accused him of outstanding loans.
His son, Abhishek, is also an actor by his own rights.
Amitabh and Jaya were interested in Abhishek getting married to Babita and
Randhir Kapoor's daughter Karisma, whom he had formally engaged to, but later
broke it.
Former Miss World and Bollywood actresses, Aishwarya Rai, and
Abhishek formally engaged on 14 January 2007 at the Bachchan residence in Juhu,
Bombay and were married on 20 April 2007 at Bachchan's residence.
On November 16, 2011, he became a grandfather when Aishwarya
gave birth to a daughter in a Mumbai hospital. She is already the maternal
grandfather of Navya Naveli and Agastya - Shweta's children.

His first major breakthrough came from the film “Zanjeer” (1973).
His films included many action films including Sholay (1975), and Don (1978).
Nicknamed "Big B", Bachchan used in Indian films as a new type of
action star, who is "angry young" rather than a romantic hero.
Amitabh Bachchan was famous for his versatility, and his many roles showed his
talent in singing, dancing and comedy.

Amitabh Bachchan entered politics on the encouragement of his
friend Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was elected to the Parliament of
India by an overwhelming majority in 1984, but resigned his seat in 1989, after
which the Gandhi government was implicated in the bribery scandal.
Bachchan made a comeback to the film and won the National
Film Award for his role of Mafia Don in Agneepath (1990). He later starred in
super hit films such as "Mohabbatein" (2000) and Black (2005). These
films also received many awards. Bachchan won another National Film Award for
the latter film, and he also received that honour for his performance in the
